The C-XF concept car signals the emergence of a new era for Jaguar. A stunning, four-door sports sedan that combines design with unparalleled purity dynamism, the C-XF is a clear indication of the direction in which the design of the next generation of Jaguar sedans will.

Designed by the same team that produced the award-winning sports Jaguar XK Series GT in 2005 - led by the Director of Design Jaguar Ian Callum and head of the Advanced Design Julian Thomson - C-XF is a concept precursor cars that will become recognized for their pioneering and innovative exterior resembles interiors.

You may have discovered that cleaning your car rims by hand can be pretty difficult, but the job can be made a lot easier by properly using a pressure washer.

Cleaning rims using a pressure washer can be superior in eliminating the tough stains of ugly caked-on brake dust and grease from your wheels.

If you don�t own a portable pressure washer, you'll be able to buy one at very affordable prices online or at your neighborhood home improvement store.

To do a really good cleaning job you should also purchase a good, non abrasive rim cleaner. There are many top quality brands available online.

It only takes a little bit of rim cleaning solution to effectively clean rims in conjunction with a power washer.

Here's an easy step by step method.

Step back a couple of feet and a bit off to the side of the rim then rinse the rim from about 8 inches away. Be sure to spray into the crevices and spray from different angles.
Spray the rim using a circular motion around the outside of the wheel and be sure to rinse the tire as well.
Put the sprayer wand down and apply tire cleaning solution onto the tire.
Using the pressure washer, rinse the whole tire this time from about 5 inches away.
Now spray the rim with rim cleaner generously, following label directions. Usually you'll have to leave it sit on the rim for a few minutes to lift the debris.
Rinse the cleaner from the rim from about 8 inches away with the pressure washer.

Note:

Always clean the rims before you clean your tires and only clean your wheels after you've cleaned your car body. You don't want all that dirt from the body washing back onto your clean rims.
Dry your rims with an old bath towel. Optionally you can apply a light coat of car wax which will keep your rims clean longer and make your next washing easier by reducing the amount of dust that will "stick" to your rims.

Up to 276 km/h - in a diesel!

BMW's range of engines leaves no wishes unfulfilled. Or do they? In any case, customers can choose from four different types of engines. Whether it is the 520d, 525d, 530d, or 535d - the Bavarian manufacturer offers the right unit to meet the needs. However, needs can grow! So a visit to HAMANN is recommended to anyone wanting more performance. The company from Laupheim can help put an edge to all versions by reprogramming the series engine management. HAMANN extracts performance values from the top diesel model, the 535d, which were considered impossible until now. In the first phase, the tuner increases power to 319 HP/235 kW. The maximum torque of 630 Nm makes it possible to get impressive in-gear performance figures. The limousine can make the sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds instead of the standard 6.5 seconds (add 0.1 s for the estate model). The top speed - HAMANN removes the Vmax governor - increases to 267 km/h. In a second phase (sports version), the 3-litre straight-six engine with a register turbocharger achieves an unbelievable 350 HP/257 kW and applies a titanic 660 Nm to the crankshaft. The acceleration values then improve once again by one-tenth of a second. The resulting 276 km/h is enough to drive one or two sports car drivers to despair. Don't forget, we're talking about a diesel!

Besides diesel tuning, HAMANN of course also offers tuning for gas engines.

Anyone who orders an E60/E61 with the M aerodynamics package (part of the M sports package from the BMW range of products) will find the matching additional aerodynamics components at HAMANN. The front is given especially impressive lines through the competition front spoiler, which reduces the lift. It fits into the M lines perfectly. The classical BMW markings, the double-kidneys, can be masked with a HAMANN kidney cover, which discretely highlights the sportier look.

A pair of HAMANN side skirts provides optical lowering on one hand, and furthermore, they ensure a more impressive side view that what is provided by the smooth side profile. As an optical counterweight to the front spoiler, there is a HAMANN spoiler for the rear (not for the estate) where it is responsible for reducing lift. If you order a HAMANN 4-pipe, muffler rear section, you should also order a rear styling conversion kit with an integrated diffuser at the same time to have the right look. The 5 series is given the final touch by the HAMANN sports mirror (for left-hand-drive up to year of construction 08/2005), which is electrically controlled and heated, or also hinged as an option.

Large wheels and lowering kit

20-inch wheels fit perfectly with the modified 5-Series. HAMANN offers the "Edition Race" design as the top model. There is a lowering kit to lower the body with progressive body springs. With this, the HAMANN 5-Series hovers above the pavement 40 mm lower at the front and 20 mm lower at the rear. Alternatively, HAMANN offers a sports coilover suspension. On request, a sports braking system for the front axle provides better deceleration values.

The Laupheim finishing specialists offer various interior accessories for the BMW 5-Series. For example, the customer can put in an interior set made of carbon for the instrument panel and the centre console in order to give the cockpit a breath of racing air. To turn this breath into a stiff breeze, there are also different aluminum elements. For example, HAMANN offers a footrest made of this light-weight metal, and a handbrake lever, as well as all the pedals. PT BMW Indonesia melalui Helena Abidin, Director of Corporate Communications, menyatakan sampai saat ini pihaknya belum ada rencana membawa model ini ke Indonesia. To mark the occasion, Mercedes-Benz is bringing out the attractive special “Edition 10” model. The specification includes 20-inch wheels, bi-xenon headlamps and special bodywork highlights in titanium-look as well as dark-tinted tail lights. The sporty, refined interior features two-tone all-leather appointments, sports instruments and stainless steel sports pedals. The “Edition 10” can be ordered from autumn 2007.

The “Edition 10” is a fitting tribute to mark the tenth anniversary of the most successful Mercedes-Benz premium SUV. It recalls the market launch of the M-Class a decade ago, a vehicle now regarded as the pioneer of the premium SUV. Compared with the series-production models, the anniversary edition sporting the special “Edition 10” logos on the wings features even higher-grade appointments and is instantly recognisable from the exterior, courtesy of its eye-catching design and engineering details. Highlights include the 20-inch light-alloy wheels shod with 265/45 R 20 V tyres. Depending on the customer’s preference, the light-alloy wheels in gleaming silver provide an interesting contrast to the “Edition 10” design - or blend in harmoniously with if the darkened “chrome shadow” finish is specified. The darkened housings for the bi-xenon headlamps with Active Light System and identically styled fog lamps with integral cornering light function lend the vehicle’s front end an even more striking appearance. The package of measures at the front end is rounded off with a special radiator grille and simulated stainless steel underride guard, both in titanium-look. Dark-tinted tail light clusters, a simulated stainless steel underride guard in titanium-look and twin-pipe exhaust system with separate chrome tailpipes adorn the rear of the M-Class “Edition 10”. Blue-tinted glass and special chrome trim elements on the door handles, rub strips, radiator grille and rear bumper add the finishing touches to the striking appearance. A choice of five “Edition 10” models

In addition to the powerful V8 diesel engine with its 700 Nm of torque in the ML 420 CDI 4MATIC, two superlative V6 diesel units are available. The V6 entry-level unit in the ML 280 CDI produces 140 kW / 190 hp, the ML 320 CDI develops 165 kW/224 hp from the same displacement. The ML 350 and the ML 500 with the new 5.5-litre V8 unit bring two petrol versions to the line-up with outputs of 200 kW/272 hp and 285 kW/388 hp respectively.

Ten years in Tuscaloosa – a German-American success story

The first generation of the M-Class (W 163) was launched in 1997, paving the way for today’s premium SUVs. Fitted with all-wheel drive as standard, it combined the comfort and handling safety of a passenger car with the ruggedness of an off-road vehicle. The Sports Utility Vehicle also offered ample Page 3 room and optimum adaptability, virtually assuring its success from the off: some 600,000 units of the first-generation M-Class were sold worldwide before it was replaced by the all-new model generation in 2005. The W 164 series consummately perpetuates this success story; around 250,000 Mercedes-Benz customers have already purchased this model.

Like the first generation, the current M-Class is manufactured at the DaimlerChrysler Tuscaloosa plant in the U.S. state of Alabama. The production facility was opened on May 21, 1997, two years after construction began, and was the first Mercedes-Benz passenger car plant outside Germany. Shortly after production started, worldwide M-Class demand easily outstripped forecasts. In addition to the initial 300 million U.S. dollars, the company invested another 100 million U.S. dollars to increase capacity from 60,000 to 80,000 vehicles a year. In 2002, more than 88,000 M-Class vehicles were produced in Tuscaloosa, setting a new record. Between 1999 and 2002, the M-Class was also produced at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, where the legendary G-Class is built.

The Mercedes-Benz all-wheel-drive story began a hundred years ago

In addition to marking the 10th anniversary of the model series, the launch of the M-Class “Edition 10” in 2007 also recalls another significant event. In 1907

– exactly a hundred years ago – the Berlin-Marienfelde plant rolled out the world’s first all-terrain all-wheel-drive passenger car. This one-off vehicle, painstakingly designed by Paul Daimler, was used by the German Imperial Colonial Office in German Southwest Africa, now Namibia. The technology used in the 3.6-tonne vehicle with its touring car body and six seats was ahead of its time. In addition to the permanent all-wheel drive, the large vehicle even had all-wheel steering for better manoeuvrability. The entire powertrain was encapsulated, making it perfectly suited to the ubiquitous dusty desert tracks of German Southwest Africa. A sturdy underride guard protected the transmission.

The “Dernburg Wagen”, named after Bernhard Dernburg, the head of the Page 4 German Imperial Colonial Office, was used successfully for several years, mainly in the area around Windhoek and Swakopmund, and clocked up no less than 10,000 kilometres. The trail of this unique vehicle went cold in the postcolonial era – its whereabouts are now a mystery.

The Coolest Volvo S40

IIMS menjadi ajang kegiatan pamer dan penjualan industri otomotif tingkat dunia, serta menjadi ajang perhelatan akbar industri otomotif di tanah air, yang saat ini sudah terselenggara kelimabelas kalinya.

Berdasarkan pengalaman penjualan otomotif di tahun 2005 ini juga, ajang pamer otomotif tahunan Gaikindo yang telah 14 kali diadakan menjadi tonggak keberhasilan dunia otomotif Indonesia dengan diperolehnya pengakuan dunia otomotif internasional melalui OICA. Sejak saat itu pula nama ajang ini berubah menjadi The Indonesia International Motor Show. Melihat bahwa peluang market mobil tahun ini dapat mengalami peningkatan, The 15th Indonesia International Motor Show 2007 akan menjadi momen terbaik untuk meningkatkan image dan kepercayaan diri para peserta di mata publik otomotif nasional dan internasional. Hal ini pada akhirnya akan mendorong terciptanya peningkatan market otomotif secara nasional”.

Untuk The 15th Indonesia International Motor Show 2007 kali ini pihak Gaikindo mengangkat tema Green - Better Living. Tema ini menyiratkan visi Gaikindo untuk mengarahkan industri otomotif sebagai salah satu industri ramah lingkungan melalui penciptaan dan penerapan berbagai inovasi teknologi otomotif.

Hingga saat ini telah tercatat 22 produsen mobil kategori passenger dimana 2 di antaranya adalah anggota baru Gaikindo serta 1 produsen commercial cars yang nantinya akan menempati area seluas 13.502 m2 dan 140 peserta dari kategori industri komponen dan pendukung lainnya yang telah memastikan diri untuk ikut berpartisipasi di ajang The 15th Indonesia International Motor Show 2007 yang akan diadakan pada tanggal 20 – 29 Juli 2007 ini. Hal ini membuktikan tingginya animo peserta dari kalangan industri otomotif dan industri terkait lainnya untuk memamerkan dan menjual produk-produk andalan mereka di ajang otomotif berkelas dunia yang terbaik serta terbesar di Indonesia. Selain itu, di ajang yang diharapkan akan dibuka oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia ini juga akan menghadirkan berbagai produk otomotif terbaru berteknologi masa depan dari berbagai produsen otomotif dunia di area pamer seluas 35.000 m2 yang tentunya tidak boleh dilewatkan.

Oleh karena itu, pihak penyelenggara The 15th Indonesia International Motor Show 2007 tak pernah berhenti untuk memberikan layanan terbaik bagi setiap pengunjung melalui pengadaan fasilitas terbaru yang memudahkan akses pengunjung ke ajang ini.
